Subject: 72 hours later....

It was quiet in the room, the monitors beeping slowly before she opened her eyes slowly, the harsh light heavy against her eyes. With a small groan she closed her eyes again, not wanting the brightness to attack her again as she tried to figure out why she was there and what exactly happened. She wasn't in her bed, and she wasn't in Wes's bed, so where was she? She cleared her throat lightly, before she gasped at the pain that grabbed her when she
shifted her weight.

He had been asleep, his head resting almost in her lap, but shot up when he felt her move and heard her pain. He squeezed her hand gently before pressing the button for the doctors, his tones gentle as he spoke "keisha? I'm right here beautiful..." He had been right there ever since they had brought her in, never leaving her side- much to her parents irritation he imagined... the nurses found it cute though... She opened her eyes - though they were squinted - when she heard his voice, her hand slipping more securely within his. "Wes..." She cleared her throat, her brow furrowed in quiet confusion. He smiled slightly, cocking his head as he watched her before folding his arms on her bed, resting his chin atop them "Lazy..." He winked gently, just playful... maybe now he'd be able to relax a little. He knew he would have to tell her about the baby soon, but not yet, let her deal with this much so far "How do you feel?" She gently reached her small hand up again, running it over his rough scalp for a long moment before she brought hazy eyes to him. "Kinda out of it now..." Smirking slightly he shook his head slightly "I don;t know how enthusiastic they will be to make the streets cleaner for illegal racing..." He had a million things on his mind ... the baby for one, her racing for another... how could he even begin to explain? His concern for her went without saying, and he doubted it would do her any good to broach either of those subjects right now "yeah... a lot on my mind baby.."
