She remembered how she had cried until she had fallen asleep in his arms with her face ducked into his chest, and how she thought he might have been crying too, but she was too scared to check... Inhaling sharply, her eyes flew open as she shook her head, refusing to dwell on the past. Her gaze searched the faces of her family standing around her - they were the parents, they were supposed to have the answers...
