What's good for the SLC is not of paramount interest to me. I would love to see UTA move up to a more prestigious league, or perhaps join in starting one. We should try to align ourselves with schools that are on our academic level, and we should compete in the highest level in all sports. It has been over 20 years since the SLC dropped down from 1-A football, so apparently the move to 1-AA is permanent for the Southland. We need to re-start football at the 1-A level and then move to a league that will give our fans interesting matchups.
