To you all,

I do read and reread every word of guidance and I appreciate you all.

I am in a bad place right now emotionally. I have been afraid of my own bowel movements all my life.

As a very young child my brain was probably able to forget the suppositories and my resistance to toilet training.

I was not able to block from my memory the Fleet enemas my Doula gave me. They were very upsetting to me and I'm sure those enemas shaped how I modeled (or the lack of modeling) having bowel movements for our children.

I am embarrassed to have to admit I have as much if not more of a problem as our two children because I am an adult and I know better than to withhold.

I am ashamed that I have to be intervened to get my use of the bathroom under control. My sister has taken that control away from me and I am even more scared than ever.

I don't know how I am going to handle this.

Yes Maude we have a master bath and my sister said my daughter and I will have to share that bathroom will she goes back and forth to the other bathroom for our son's enemas. That is a very uncomfortable thought for me. But she says I need to show bravery and maturity for the sake of our daughter.

Our daughter had to have her mini enema last night. I'm allowed to use a suppository when needed. One was needed last night. It was awful. Upsetting.

Susan you don't need to be ashamed of anything. The suppositories you got as a child and the Fleet enemas your Doula gave you scared the little girl inside you that was already afraid of her bowel movements. You probably had a hard poop that you passed when you were very little and just as you don't remember those suppositories you also don't remember that difficult and painful poop. But that's why you have always been afraid of your pooping because your brain remembers it. You got this girl. You can do it. Let the little girl inside that is still afraid to poop accept her requirements now so she can get healthy. It will be a good bonding experience for you and your daughter to go in to your master bedroom and let Auntie clean you two out. Is she going to do a soapsuds enema and then a rinse? Since you say you are only going to do this every other week I think you need a good cleaning with the soapsuds enema first.
