Hi Alf,

ich habe auch den Thomson 8090 gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Ich benutze auschliesslich S-VHS tapes und hatte damit bisher überhaupt keine Probleme. Ich benutze das Gerät ausschliesslich zum Kopieren von DVDs, wobei sich die Kopie fast nicht vom Original unterscheiden lässt. Dank der Riesenkapzität des Bandes bekommst Du auf eine 240er 5 3/4 Stunden Film in bester Qualität. Davon können DVD-Recorder bis zur Ankunft des Blue Ray Lasers nur träumen
Der einzige Haken an dem Gerät ist der beschissene Suchlauf. Das Gerät zeigt nur alle 10 sec Film ein Standbild. Aber da ich das Gerät nur zum Filmschauen benutze, ist das für mich nicht wirklich ein Thema. Vom der Bildqualität und von der Kapazität her ist D-VHS zur Zeit auf jeden Fall besser als jeder DVD Recorder.
