Subject: Why one should go for dgital recording of analog signals

Hi all!

On A DVHS tape I assume an analog signal can be recorded in analog mode. But currently products are there in which one can record an nalog signal in digital mode with the help of an MPEG encoder. But why a consumer will try to do that what advantages he will have in doing so???
