Subject: The Body

There are plenty of dangerous doctrines floating around in the body of Christ, but I think the devil trembles more when we can come together as believers and agree on the things that make us brothers and sisters in Christ.

Sinners need the Savior! Jesus, the Messiah, the Master, the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the whole wide world. If you have come to this conclusion and have asked Jesus to come and live in you, to take up residence in your spirit, then you have eternal life according to the scriptures. John 3:16 says that whosoever (that means whom ever, or anybody at all) whoever believes in Him (The Son) should not perish but have everlasting life. This is the starting point!

And Jesus, through his beloved apostle John, goes on to say in vs 17, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." And vs 18, "He who believes in Him is not condemned; BUT HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."

This understanding, or knowledge of who Jesus is and why He came is fundamental to all who would call themselves believers. If we don't agree to this, then we do not have the benefits of kinship to Jesus as the first of many brothers. YOU need to get saved! Repent and believe the gospel!

Again, sinners need to get saved! Salvation is a prerequisite to all the benefits that come with this relationship to the most high God. There is no other way to access the great and awesome power of God, but through the narrow gate, which is Jesus Christ.

It's easy to do, like taking a pill, but your will has to give in and just do it. Once you do it and accept the Truth that Jesus is the only Way to God, then you can begin the process of sanctification. You enter into the brotherhood and like the apostle Paul so eloquently describes, everything you were before begins to pale in comparison to your new identity in Christ. It is the only way to live, because any other way only leads to death.

The body of Christ is then made up of all those who have made this decision to put on Christ and associate with His life and His Way, which is the Truth that sets one free.

The problem, and I'm speaking to all those who have made that decision, is that now as members of His body, we have a responsibility to one another. As He told us, we must love one another! Too many of us have let our differences get in the way of our love walk, which is first and foremost to be with the brethren. All those who have called upon the name of Jesus are my brothers and my sisters.

Is it no wonder that many a self respecting sinner is unable to make that step of faith, to surrender their life and enter a relationship with Jesus and all His Saints?

It would be like an orphan who is introduced to the family that has offered to take him in, but one look at the family and the orphan would sooner choose to continue in his orphaned state!

As saints of God, we need to wake up to the call that is on the Body of Christ! No badmouthing your brothers and sisters! Show love to all, regardless of affiliation, the sinners are watching!

Like with all congregations in the world at large, there are people of both camps who visit here. Some who have entered into this most precious relationship with Jesus Christ and some who visit who have not yet entered in. This is a microcosm of the world at large; and even, as I am finding, of the church itself. It too is made up of non-believers, believers and those who are becoming disciples. In 1 Corinthians chapter 2 and 3, Paul speaks to the differences that existed then, as they do now, to the natural man, to the carnal Christian and to those who believe and seek a higher path. I see myself on this road of discipleship and have this forum for other like minded travelers and seekers of the ultimate Truth.

In this online community I get encouragement myself when I re-read the statements of faith that have been put forth here. If there are no others who would step up and add their faith to mine that's ok. I get my daily encouragement from reading the Word outloud and from those I am in close fellowship with on a regular basis. Like any "body" the body of Christ needs all its parts to function well. Let us embrace the different parts and work together to bring about the growth and maturity that will add to the number of those who know the truth that makes us free!

I am even encouraged by the doubters and the skeptics who visit and question God's existence. "For what man knows the things of man except the spirit of the man which is in him. Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God." - 1 Corin 2:11,12. When revelation from God comes it is personal, to the heart of man from God. It is not always easily shared, because it has to be received by hears that can hear. But, if you do get encouraged by what is put forth here, by all means, join in!

"The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." - Psalm 145:8,9

It matters very little what i think of bill maher. The truth is that God loves bill just as much as He loves me and you! The main difference is that one day soon, and very soon, I will get to thank Him face to face for His great love for me. The cool thing is that Bill Maher still can too if he repents and believes the gospel. That's why they call it the Grace period! He seems to have studied his material. He knows what the gospel says, he just obviously flat out rejects it as such...wow!

I've said it before, I respect those who can clearly state what they believe, or not believe. I have much less respect for those who are only luke warm about the faith, or even worse, who say they believe, but then don't act like it in their daily life at all; hypocrites!! Being a saint isn't about being squeeky clean, it simply means you can admit when you are wrong, ask forgiveness and move on.

The Christian life is walked out and not simply talked about endlessly; you either is or you ain't a saint! Because God sees the heart, if you belong to Him you can't hide behind your words whether you say you are for Him or against Him... God has ways of getting people who He needs converted! You can run, but you cannot hide from God! Jesus has been called the hound of heaven and I believe everyone will get a chance to accept or reject him before they die.

Won't you accept and believe in Jesus of Nazareth today? He is the Savior, the Christ, the Annointed One. The One who came from heaven as a man to take away the sins of the whole world. He died to pay the price for your eternal soul, but you must believe in and receive the free gift of Jesus for your salvation.

Don't mock Jesus till you've sincerely tried Him! All I can say for sure is, once I was blind and now I can see!
