There are plenty of dangerous doctrines floating around in the body of Christ, but I think the devil trembles more when we can come together as believers and agree on the things that make us brothers and sisters in Christ.
Sinners need the Savior! Jesus, the Messiah, the Master, the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the whole wide world. If you have come to this conclusion and have asked Jesus to come and live in you, to take up residence in your spirit, then you have eternal life according to the scriptures. John 3:16 says that whosoever (that means whom ever, or anybody at all) whoever believes in Him (The Son) should not perish but have everlasting life. This is the starting point!
And Jesus, through his beloved apostle John, goes on to say in vs 17, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." And vs 18, "He who believes in Him is not condemned; BUT HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD."
This understanding, or knowledge of who Jesus is and why He came is fundamental to all who would call themselves believers. If we don't agree to this, then we do not have the benefits of kinship to Jesus as the first of many brothers. YOU need to get saved! Repent and believe the gospel!
Again, sinners need to get saved! Salvation is a prerequisite to all the benefits that come with this relationship to the most high God. There is no other way to access the great and awesome power of God, but through the narrow gate, which is Jesus Christ.
It's easy to do, like taking a pill, but your will has to give in and just do it. Once you do it and accept the Truth that Jesus is the only Way to God, then you can begin the process of sanctification. You enter into the brotherhood and like the apostle Paul so eloquently describes, everything you were before begins to pale in comparison to your new identity in Christ. It is the only way to live, because any other way only leads to death.
The body of Christ is then made up of all those who have made this decision to put on Christ and associate with His life and His Way, which is the Truth that sets one free.
The problem, and I'm speaking to all those who have made that decision, is that now as members of His body, we have a responsibility to one another. As He told us, we must love one another! Too many of us have let our differences get in the way of our love walk, which is first and foremost to be with the brethren. All those who have called upon the name of Jesus are my brothers and my sisters.
Is it no wonder that many a self respecting sinner is unable to make that step of faith, to surrender their life and enter a relationship with Jesus and all His Saints?
It would be like an orphan who is introduced to the family that has offered to take him in, but one look at the family and the orphan would sooner choose to continue in his orphaned state!
As saints of God, we need to wake up to the call that is on the Body of Christ! No badmouthing your brothers and sisters! Show love to all, regardless of affiliation, the sinners are watching!
