Like with all congregations in the world at large, there are people of both camps who visit here. Some who have entered into this most precious relationship with Jesus Christ and some who visit who have not yet entered in. This is a microcosm of the world at large; and even, as I am finding, of the church itself. It too is made up of non-believers, believers and those who are becoming disciples. In 1 Corinthians chapter 2 and 3, Paul speaks to the differences that existed then, as they do now, to the natural man, to the carnal Christian and to those who believe and seek a higher path. I see myself on this road of discipleship and have this forum for other like minded travelers and seekers of the ultimate Truth.
In this online community I get encouragement myself when I re-read the statements of faith that have been put forth here. If there are no others who would step up and add their faith to mine that's ok. I get my daily encouragement from reading the Word outloud and from those I am in close fellowship with on a regular basis. Like any "body" the body of Christ needs all its parts to function well. Let us embrace the different parts and work together to bring about the growth and maturity that will add to the number of those who know the truth that makes us free!
I am even encouraged by the doubters and the skeptics who visit and question God's existence. "For what man knows the things of man except the spirit of the man which is in him. Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God." - 1 Corin 2:11,12. When revelation from God comes it is personal, to the heart of man from God. It is not always easily shared, because it has to be received by hears that can hear. But, if you do get encouraged by what is put forth here, by all means, join in!
"The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." - Psalm 145:8,9
