At this point, they have to do SOMETHING to redeem Willow, or to at least make her a viable Scoobie for Season Seven, to do anything else is a smack in the face given how far over backwards the writers (and to an extent the fans) have bent to accomodate Spike's evolution over the past two seasons. If a mass-murdering vampire can be accepted, there is almost no way they can shun/punish Willow realistically, and NOT be showing favoritism to Spike.

I'm hoping against hope that we won't see a "reboot" or "reset," but I am going to trust the writers, for now.

I'd like to see both Willow AND Tara come out of this one intact, but if I absolutely have to choose one, it's going to be Willow.
