This seems to me to be reasoning worthy of Warren himself. Who gets to decide which human beings have forfeited their divine right to life?

Isn't this similar to Warren playing puppet master to Katrina? hasn't he decided that he owns her body and her life?

Aren't we meant to be troubled by Giles' decision? Isn't it explicitly pointed out by Giles himself when he said that heros like Buffy couldn't do it? that she wasn't like 'us'? Who is 'us'? Giles and Ben. Giles acknowledges that they are both morally destitute at this point. That perhaps someone could judge that Giles was now worthy of suffering death for this crime.

Is this what Acquinus is all about? Remind me never to bother reading him.
