And the same excuse could not be used for Willow? That she was defending the friends she had left? Warren would at this point be a KILLER, someone who took a life with little reason -- vengeance and anger/grief may not be pretty, but it's a damn sight more forgivable than Warren's excuse -- power-hungry.

And one could just as easily point out that, at least in the case of the mercenaries, that once Buffy and Cordy lost the homing devices from their persons, they could have called the police instead of taking the law into their own hands.

I'm largely playing Devil's Advocate here, but I do have a problem with whether Willow should be forgiven when there are other grey acts that have been performed by others.

Maybe I'm just not arguing it well.
