I was quite surprised when I read your posts, because when I read the interview, I thought nothing of his comments re BtVS, other than they simply were no longer in contact because of two different shows, two different networks.

Although some BtVS cast members go over to JW's house on a Sunday, and have Shakespeare sessions, etc., not all do. I saw JM give an interview and he stated that when he started on B, SMG sat him down on the sidewalk next to her and said (something on the lines of - can't remember exact quote) "Just so you know, I don't socialise with the people here - I do my job, my private life is separate."

He said this, by the way, with a grin, not with any malice intended, and added something like "But we're good friends, now." (although I don't think he meant off the set).

So I'd assume that DB meant something similar - not that he had any gripes with his fellow cast members.
