He raised his hands as if surrendering. Shock faded from her handsome features then slowly turned to a sick mirth. �The child? You want the child?� Laughter made his chest rise against the point of her sword. His gaze swept toward the limp form of the earth fairy child then to the other fairy. It was filled with amusement. Suddenly it landed upon the maiden again. �You�ll have to do better than that, Lady Kathryn.� Mocked his icy voice.
Emerald light flashed, blinding all, as he rose into the air. About him glowed a jade mist and with a wave of his hand the skies darkened. To its master flew the fallen sword and also glowed green. �Let�s see how powerful the Lady really is.� Boomed thunder with a cold voice. He did not just control the storm, he was the storm.
