Stallion stood from his position beside his mate as he heard his grandson's call. He tossed his head, not moving from his spot until his mate's health was ensured for the present time.

“I-I have to tell you about Mother… while it’s fresh.”
|He began in a shaky voice|
“Twas fault of mine she is dead.”
|Takes deep breaths|
“Before death she told me to find Father.
Which I have done and have made peace.
But she also she spoke of you both.”
|Images flash about his mind, painfully|
|He saw his mother lying in a pool of blood again|
|”Oh Daddy… I love you…
I wish you were here… I’m scared.
Mother, oh Mother please be strong
And forgive me for everything! I love you…
Noo… don’t let me leave my baby!
I have to watch my baby!
Daddy! Ivan! Raise him, please!
Mother, love him as I do!
Nooo! Don’t leave my baby alone…”|
|He shook his head and broke from the memories|
“She was scared… and said she loved you…
She wanted you to forgive her,
for everything… and to be strong…”
|He trailed off, not knowing what else to say|
|But everything his mother said reflected in his eyes|
“It was all my fault.”

*She touched him lovingly* Soul you have grown and we are so proud of you, please, dont blame yourself *she looks at him eyes full of tears, she nuzzles him* Its going to be ok now, we'll be a family, just like before.... *She trailed off, thinking of her beloved homelands, she sighed, she would give them up if Soul desired to remain in the valley*

Lobes laced back as he he listened to the story of his own daughter's death. How could he live with himself, to know that he wasn't there when she needed him most... Head jerked back a bit as he took a step back, fighting the urge to run away from his problems. I love you... Moon Hope... He thought to himself, unaware that he was thinking aloud. Memories flooded him; the mishaps the family had gone through in their struggle to survive. Many memories of John and his animal terrorists haunted him. When he had first became involved with Meela because no one was around when she was first captured... The second time... When Ivan became part of the family... The third capture... The last one haunted him most. It had been the hardest one to deal with. What came most to mind, was when Moon had fought off an unreal personality. He would never let himself forget his daughter...

He snapped his head up as he realized that he had been staring out into nothingness and looked up at his grandson. He stepped towards him.

Lobes lace back as Soul begins to blurt out. Step back is taken to give him space. Soul...I know it's hard...But we love you...Your mother would want you to stop this and be happy... He knew his efforts were futile, for he felt as Soul did. Only he did not know the exact same torture as him. Life wasn't fair. Everyone had to deal with it. Bad things happen to good people...like Moon. He wouldn't let the same happened to Soul. Not while he was alive, that is...

longingly at his grandparents|

Tis my junior year of highschool and I got some super hard classes. I just started the 20th and I already had one project due, I got lots of H.w. and I got tests next week! Can you believe this? The stallion pulled his head up as he nodded to Soul. I believe he already knows this... He said under his breath. Lobes lace back as he felt the wind of Soul rush past him. He turned quickly and stood there. He straightened his position, holding his head high. He soluted the stallion silently until there was nothing left to see. Sometimes he smartest thing to do, was turn and run. He'd be back someday... Everything faded into darkness very slowly. He stood there, suddenly unaware of anything. The darkness swallowed him whole as well as a dull feeling all over. Head is lightly shaken as the darkness fades away. He knew he wouldn't be around much longer...Only hoping that he'd be around long enough...
