You are mistaken again. There is a prevalent and dominant black culture. You seem to believe that the existence of sub-cultures invalidates the existence of a mother culture. But, there are aspects of black culture that could be said to encompass the majority of blacks, else there would not be Kwaanza (sp?), Black History month, African American Studies, and Black cultural awareness groups. Just as the majority of Americans celebrate Christmas (and quite differently than other Western cultures, I might add), this could be said to be an aspect of our overlying cultural identity.
