Rant read.

Rant disagreed with.

However, in the interest of not cluttering up this board w/various points and counterpoints amounting to not much more than people talking past one another, much as Adilbrand and I did all last spring, I'm going to let it drop. Not due to weakness on the part of my convictions, mind you, but due to a belief that it would be for the most part irritating for all involved, esp. for me since I don't have sufficient time to address the points that Adilbrand brought up from his prior research into the subject. Unadressed points, in my mind, look like conceded points. I wish to assure you that I am not making concessions on these points, even though I am leaving them unadressed.

I am convinced that the 2 of you have a fundamental, and not all that uncommon misconception of Christianity - one that I myself shared until just a few years ago. I do not live in fear of God, not must I constantly beg his fogiveness our of fear for my soul. I am happy and secure in my place. I have greater freedom in Christ than you can know. I cannot convince you of this, since MVD seems positive that I am some miserable person cowering in the corner of life - afraid to experience it and Adilbrand, apparently, thinks that I just have not thought about the topic enough. Well, thanks for your concern, but let me assure you that it is misplaced. I have put thought into my faith and I have seen and experienced quite a bit of this ol' world.

I don't want to pound my point of view down your throat - it does none of us any good. Please excuse the rant of yesterday, if it has offended you. If you've ever got any questions about my faith, I'll be right here, or if there's a good topic that comes up like the "life is suffering" one of a few weeks ago, I'll be glad to pipe in, otherwise...

However, the original question was not adressed in any particular way by either of you - was the death on the cross doctored or faked in any way?
