Subject: My understanding of Karma
In reply to: mt. healthy mountaineer 's message, "A karma question, deftly avoided in the past" on 07:51:51 04/02/02 Tue

I believe that you should actually know what Karma is to attempt to talk intelligently about it. I also believe you should do this with any subject, such as Christianity. When you ignore facts and misrepresent ideas, you make yourself a much greater ass than the ones laughing at you. Perhaps you should ask yourself "Why is Mark laughing at me?" Is it solely because I am a bastard, or could it really be that your insistence and clinging to beliefs which demean you is actually quite funny?

Karma is very simple. It means that when we do injury to others we can expect injury to ourselves. It has nothing to do whatsoever with anvils falling on our heads or planes falling from the sky. It only means that when you push, you will likely be pushed back. You might as well ask why there are bloody earthquakes. It is not relevant to the Karmic issue.
