Why must the negative always be assumed? You want to discount eyewitnesses, authorship, early church tradition, historical documents, etc., but you are not willing to concede on the role that faith did (and does) play.

And seeking notoriety? You've made some good arguments in the past, but this is one of your worst! The first century Jews turned Christians were seeking anything but notoriety. The Romans and Jews would have wanted to prevent anyone becoming a martyr and becoming notorious, hence, moving forward this new faith movement.

You guys try so hard to claim that there is no truth, that all you can speak is lies. I may concede on some questions of authorship. I've had time to research and form my own opinions, but, you cannot discount the role of the eye witnesses.

People die for their faith of every religion, I agree. These guys were not dying for their religion. They had already abandoned it! They were Jews following who they believed to be the Jewish Messiah and became outcasts. They were dying for their friend! The One whom they spent 3+ years with, the One whom they saw open blind eyes, feed 5,000, turn water into wine, heal the sick, raise people from the dead, crucified and risen on the third day, and ascend to heaven. It was no longer religon for them, it was reality!
