I think that everyone is right. In order for us to be of an open mind we must accept the fact that we all have different perspectives about life and the way we live in it. To say my perspective is wrong because it is not yours is just silly. And to assume that anyone should hold mine is just as ridiculous.
It is true that wisdom is generally learned from stupid mistakes we have made, and is not some inherent gift from the gods, though some may have that gift it is rare.
I can say that, through my own expereinces, with friendships, lovers, family ect...that very little is truly needed for success beyond love, and acceptance.
My wish is that everyone smiles mostly, cries rarley and finds true happiness with those who live closest to them and share the space.
I think some great teacher of the tao said if you find one good friend in this life you have found the entire world.
I think we need just that. And that is all. But then this only comes from having been in a few too many places, and having seen a few too many distasteful things.
What do I know though?????
I like being content. I like not striving after things that bring me stress, but that is just me. I also admire friends who are go getters, that is something I like to see. They are exciting to be around. Though I will probably always be your laid back Lenny kind of gal.
