about the B/A S/B thing....Angel is a better person than Spike--he loved Buffy so much that he gave her up so that he wouldn't stand in the way of her having a better, more normal life--cause he said she wouldn't be a slayer forever and she needed a normal partner. Spike on the other hand, though I do believe he loves her, his love is way more selfish. He has tried to force a relationship on her and gives little thought as to how limiting the relationship would be for her. I know, I know, he's helped her and fought for her--yea yea--so has everyone else. I respect the guy for that, I do--but Angel has proved to be much more noble--he wanted to spare her the pain of being with someone too different. He listened to Joyce and he knew she was right. Angel made the ultimate sacrifice--he left--he didn't tie her up or go around bitching and moaning as Spike did. They both wanted her--but Angel thought of her first--Spike did not. Whew--ok bash away!
