Subject: rant about some jerk at nickbrendon.com

I was reading different boards about how they feel about JM joining the cast of Angel the other day and most of them are pretty positive, but the forum at nickbrendon.com has one person that is positively irrational on the subject of Spike. I must say that I have never read posts that are so nasty and despicable as the ones written by Adian Tepes are (Tepes is a good last name for him/her; the original Dracula, Vlad Tepes the Impaler. One of histories most evil, sadistic persons). Sure you can not like the character of Spike or what has been done with his character, but to deliberately distort story lines is beyond belief. I have come to the conclusion that what he/she sees on Buffy takes place solely in his/her imagination, ie...
-William wanted to become a vampire...not. The poor sap thought that he was going to get laid for the first time. Angel also thought that with Darla, only not the first time with him!
-This next example is the most untrue and incredibly cruel thing he/she thinks about the season 6 Spuffy story. Tepes says that Spike manipulated Buffy into a sexual relationship and raped her from them one. That is the most vile and disgusting thing I've read about the relationship. Tepes makes light of the subject of rape and demeans and insults SMG and JM when he/she says this. Filming the actual attempted rape scene was traumatic both both actors. JM has repeatedly stated that violence against women and children really freak him out, and he had a very difficult time filming that scene.
Buffy initiated the relationship. She kissed him first in OMWF and went after him in TR. And in Wrecked she kissed him and pulled down his zipper, etc, etc. Buffy admitted at the end of the relationship that she used Spike for sex to feel alive, and she also said to Holden that she treated him badly.
Tepes also said that Spike is not a champion and doesn't deserve redemption. Baloney!
It's okay not to like a character, But Tepes goes to far and it reflects badly on the fans of Buffy/Angel. Why does he/she have to denigrate one charater and the fans of that charater to pump up or feel good about his own favourite character, Xander? To have such hatred and venom aimed at Spike or any other character hurts the show and in turn the actors who plays the characters on the show.
I know this was a long rant, but I just had to get this off my chest. Spike rules!
