Subject: I think you forgot to set the "target" for the link (more)
In reply to: Fiona 's message, "what am I doing wrong?" on 11:37:29 02/21/03 Fri

if you look at the frame html page, you'll see each frame has a name: "left" & "right"

the links will open in the same window they're in, unless you set a target. (which is why site's get trapped in other site's frames)

to fix:
(a href="webpage link" target="XXX")
(envision angled brackets instead of parentheses)

targets are: your frame names (i.e. right or left), "_top" (opens the page at the 'top' - will also bust you out of your own or someone else's frames), "_blank" (opens link in new window), and a couple others.

so to get the link from the left to open in the right, make sure you have target="right" (or whatever the frame's name is) within the link tag

hope that makes sense!
