Subject: are you hand coding the HTML? Ie.. typing all the tags and such yourself>

If you are, notepad is easy to use. Open it up, then select file open. You will need to change the file type to "All Files", otherwise html files will not show up. Select your file, and open it. Notepad will open it even though it is not text, and show all the tags. You can then hand edit to your hearts content.

If you are starting from scratch, just type, then when you save, make sure you type the .html file extension on the filename you choose, otherwise it will save as plan text.

If you are using WYSIWYG editors at college - where you see the webpage and edit the way it looks, leaving the program to generate the code... you can get free trials of several top editors online. Dreamweaver can be downloaded from www.macromedia.com Adobe Page mill can probably be got from www.adobe.com

Also try tucows (www.tucows.com) search for HTML editor, it will come up with any relevant results, listing whether they are freeware, the file download size etc etc.
