Hi Bailey
Optic Neuritis is an inflamation/demyelinization of the optic nerve.
Here is some info I copied from MSF.

"Optic neuritis usually comes on suddenly, and the patient notices vision is blurred in one or both eyes. The vision is dim, like somebody turned down the lights, and colors may appear to be washed out. There may be pain in the area of the eye socket, especially when moving the eyes. The vision may continue to get worse over a week or two, and may seem worse after exercising or a hot bath."

If you have something going on with your eyes, get it checked out. Not only because you want to protect your vision, but because Optic Neuritis is one of the very few symptoms of MS that can be seen by your doc. (a doc can't see pins & needles) My pcp told me that he was very happy that I came in when I did.
Do a search on the internet for Optic Neuritis. There is a lot of info out there.
