Hi Baren!

I wonder if pregnancy is a stressor that triggers MS. I had my last child in 1983. I was sick with him (lost 15 lbs. first 3 months, had bronchitis when I delivered). I never really felt well after having him. Several years later, I contracted chronic mono and never recovered, though the flu-like symptoms abated and the neurological symptoms took over.

Yes, cold can feel hot. Just touch an ice cube with a wet finger.

Yes, I think you should consult other doctors. If you have MS, you want to get things documented in your medical record in case you will need to go on disability. A doctor can't certify anything that s/he hasn't observed, so going to the doctor, no matter how disheartening it can be, is necessary. A second or third opinion is also good to have in your chart. And who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and find find a neuro who can make a diagnosis.

Most people with MS live normal life spans, but I imagine the quality of life is compromised.

What is the CLAMS list?

One last thought, make sure your nutrition is superior. If you have MS, good nutrition can only help. In the constellation of symptoms MS can create, a vitamin or other of deficiency could appear and easily be lost.
