hi jayne....i too suffer from the gravel in the eye. sometimes it feels like one piece and others it tends to feel like several. it usually doesn't last too long, but it is very uncomfortable and my eyes water alot then. about a month ago I had a terrible 2 days where my eyes felt bruised and sore, hurt to move them. Hope we can find out just what this is...serya>
