I pet sitted part time for 3 years before going full time this Janaury. The phone book listing will help you out tremendously. Are you listed in directory assistance? Get a magnetic sign--they're wonderful!
The best thing that has happened to me is in the last two weeks, have been written up twice in the newspaper!! Phone has not stopped ringing. Plus, the NBC affiliate is coming out to film me next friday!!!
Get your PR & send them out. I faxed them, emailed them & then couple a weeks ago hand delivered my PR plus pix to all the media. If you want a copy of mine, email me & I will send it to you. Persistance pays off.
Also, keep an ad in the paper, even if it's just a classified. It's cheap & effective.
Volunteer at the animal shelter. But basically it just takes time. Good luck. Rita
