I AM NEW TO THE PAGEANT WORLD AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I AM DOING?

Ok yes I am new to all this, My Chasity is 4 so I guess I started late. I have been to 2 pageants one was a joke local thing that I will not even consider a pageant very rigged the girl who won knew the judges ha, waste of money !! But the other one I am not sure of . Maybe this is how all pageants run. First I was lied to the director told me there were only 8 people entered in the pageant not even a whole week before the pageant. Second I was lied to she also told me (I asked) that the christmas pageants normally get natural contestants, that was soo wrong I got there with my daughter after driving 4 hours, and bringing only the make-up i had in my purse, and a dress i made myself, to find out that these girls had everything from custom made dresses to fake teeth hair eyelashes tans. Thrid I asked her if she needed experence to do this pageant , she told me no that this pageant is a good place to start, and since there were so few girls she had a chance at winning a title. So since it was a double I didn't want to miss out. I somehow came up with the money in such a short period of time , and we went, well these girls all had routiens!!! Ethier they had coaches or they have been doing it all their lives. well the outcome There was 4 girls in my daughters group not bad. The same 2 girls got supreme in both pageant , these girls entered every optional available. ( I was told also that all i needed was a christmas wear outfit and her pageant dress i was not aware of casual wear, sports wear ect.) In one of the pageants my daughter took 1 runner up but since there were too supreme and one queen that mean 4 th my daughter was last! the second pagent the same 2 girls got supreme again and my daughter share the queen title with the other girl( might i add she was the only other girl without fake hair!) One good thing I liked was my daughter took best hair in one of the pageants , and she didn't have a hair piece. She got prettiest eyes in both ( if you saw her eyes you would know why). Another thing that upset me was on the flyer it said all queens would be recieve and fur trimmed robe but i quess since it was a tie my daughter didn't get one. There were some nice people there on girls had to many trophies at home so she gave my daughter some of hers and a robe how nice was that!!!! ( I also want to add that this girl was in chasitys group great sportsmanship on her part. Most of the other moms and kids looked at us as if we were aliens !!! One even when my mom kinda noded and smiled at her rolled her eyes . geez my mom was just trying to be nice!! Well I am sorry to drag this on MY QUESTION IS DO YOU HAVE TO SPEND THOUSANDS IN ORDER TO WIN? DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BRAND NAME PHOTOGRAHER TO WIN , DO YOU HAVE TO ENTER EVERY OPTIONAL AVAILABLE TO WIN. WE DON'T HAVE VERY MUCH MONEY TO PUT INTO THIS DOES MY DAUGHTER EVEN STAND A CHANCE? I hope I am wrong because I think this would be great for my daugter and I to do together, and I am not all about winning I just need to know if she stands a chance against the girl in her group that has a 3000 dollar dress who has pics by brand name photographer who has the most expensive hair and make-up, and tan who has a coach. thanks for your comments I would greatly apprecate them!!!!!!!!!
