This is a mom in AZ. Her daughter just won the Co-ed Sweetheart title for AZ so she won't be competing this year. I use this site ALL the time and I have not seen it down! It is kidsusapageant.com-hope that is the address you are using! Kids USA is going strong, the last few months of the year are usually slower but things will go full-swing after the holidays. I know phone calls are being returned, I have received them back. I would like more information about your talent competitions. My daughter will only compete in systems that have talent as opposed to pro am modeling. I will say that I think it would be fair to offer either talent or pro am that way kids that have a talent can use that as a score and for kids who mainly do glitz systems will be able to use their pro am score. Don't waste your money! It isn't enough that the Directors look like welfare recipients, they are unprofessional in every sense of the word! For a National pageant you would think that there would be a better emcee, a nicer stage and that events would start on time. Reasonanle entry fee's, great prizes things a child would really like. I am not hung up on cash but, alot of people are, I love beautiful crowns and satin monagrammed banners. Thanks for the website. It looks just right for us! I called the Director and she answered all of my questions without being pushy. She basically said come and watch a pageant and then decide as to whether it is right for us. Very sweet lady and I am impressed. I also asked if I could contact some of the other moms in her system and she said "Of course! Please do!" and she is connecting me with some in my daughter's division. I have now talked to some of the moms of girls in my daughter's age division and they have really great things to say about this system. We are doing the Christmas prelim and look forward to many fun times with Kids USA. I LOVE the moms I talked to! honesty, fairness, judges need to really look at the beauty of the child not the cost of clothes and how much money mom has or how much mom can do for their system, just follow your own rules to a t, if you say no to something stand behind it no matter if anyone likes it or not... stand up for your judges, if they are right, and also stand up for your contestants, and their mothers if they are right, do not be afraid to step on peoples toes, to do what is right....... I have done AZ Cinderella in the past & I really dislike the system BUT, I will say that MC totally deserved the Overall title and COI has nothing to do with it! Sure her mom is a coordinator but that kid is awesome. I still have mucho negative feelings towards DS but I can honestly say MC is great & deserved that crown! Results are always predictable. It is either somebody who has been Royalty time and time again or it is somebody who can do a favor or has done a favor for the State director. This year was no exception in AZ and it will continue that way. Why waste any more money? I'm not. Maybe if I had an "in" with the State Director but as it is now it will never be fair. Pathetic! The Tots mom is a director, the Cinderella Woman's mom is D.S.'s largest director, the Mini Miss and Miss both take lessons from D.S.'s studio (and pay her every month) and have know her for a long time. The Teen winner has also been involved with Cinderella for a long time. One of the Judges has been Royalty with contestants before. It appears that while there were 2 Overall winners who were new to the program they aren't new to D.S. as they have had her for a dance teacher for a long time and take from other teachers at D.S.'s studio. I think you would be rather suprised at who is writing the negative comments! I am one of the supposed people who is "no longer allowed to participate" in AZ Cinderella (although DS has never said it, I wouldnt want to return anyhow). I wrote the comment praising MC's win because she deserves it! As for the other winners, I have not a clue who they are or how they did. I am quite happy where I am, AZ Cindy has some wonderful people & some not so wonderful! It is obvious that the comments are coming from people who attended your state this past year, not people who left years ago!
