Subject: Looking for dance schools
In reply to: 's message, "I live in Scottsdale Arizona and am looking for a dance studio for my five year old daughter. Where can I find the best training for her?" on 15:52:52 02/09/05 Wed

The first thing you need to look at when looking for a dance studio is what certifications they have, what training they have, and what professional experience they have. If there is a resume posted for everyone to see when you walk through the door, that is a good sign. Check it out. Good organizations are those such as Dance Masters of America, Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and other similar organizations. If they teach ballet, ask what school they teach: Cecchetti, Vagonova, French, RAD, etc. Feel free to email me for help. If you can tell me where in AZ you are I can help more by emailing friends. I am a certified dance instructor and also a private coach for dancers. I also still perform in a professional capacity as a guest artist, so I am still very involved in the dance community.
