Well, I don't think that they are in the Oscar jury since they are not Oscar winners. But who knows, since JA is a member now, they could easily be too. Especially since all the Girls are much better actresses.
There was always a special interest in Brad right from the start. They always followed him more closely than any other star. When Brad became famous Tom Cruise was considered the hottest male star, and although he was married to Kidman the interest in him somehow declined.
There are always a few guys who stand more in the spotlight than others, but Brad's appeal seems to be strongest.
Every generation has a star that outshines other stars. In his generation that honor went to Brad Pitt.
Speaking of making money - have you seen how much money his films grossed worldwide? I was surprised myself to find out how much more money his films grossed compared to other A-list stars working today. He is one of the most reliable box office stars and that is why the studios pay him a lof of money. Most of his films are even more profitable in Europe and Asia than in America.
He is Japan's most popular US actor, I think they said the same about his status in India.
Forbes magazine just named him the most influential actor in Hollywood. A reason for that is that not only the movies in which he appears as actor make a lot of money, but he is a successful producer now as well - The Departed brought him a lot of money since it was a worldwide hit.
I think producers in general can make more money than actors.
