From CNN,

The indictment hit Vick personally Thursday when shoe manufacturer Nike announced it has suspended release of its Zoom Vick V shoe after "the serious and highly disturbing allegations." The Beaverton, Oregon, company said in a written statement that, "We have not terminated our relationship" and that Vick "should be afforded the same due process as any citizen."

Ya know, I need a new pair of walking shoes, I suppose I will avoid buying Nike shoes until this is settled. That is how strongly I feel about it. Too bad they had their name associated with such a person and whatever to waiting to see if he is found guilty. (Isn't it made clear already that celebrities and sporting heros get special treatment?)

For me, if he had knowledge of it, it is too much involvement for my liking. So, if I was a Nike representive, I would cut my ties with him now. He knew when he signed up to represent them that he was involved in this. Did he care about the company being attached to his name if anything bad went down? Nope, all he wanted was the money to support his dog fighting ring. I wonder why Nike has any sort of loyality to him. They are trying to send the message that we are innocent until proven guilty, which is fine, but is it their responsiblity to send that message? Being a major supplier of sporting wear to the public? I would think not. But I do have a choice, until they drop him and sue him for the money back he has already made off of it, I won't buy another Nike product. PERIOD!
