 The Venice Film Festival announced its winners tonight and Brad won the best actor award, the so-called Coppa Volpi, for his performance of Jesse James.

Well, this is undeniably the biggest award Brad has won in his career so far. The Venice and Cannes Film Festival often give their major awards to European actors or lesser known American actors. Winners are seldom A-list actors. So Brad Pitt winning this award is a big surprise. But the jury was very impressed with Brad's portrayal and the audience and film-experts were happy with the jury's decisions.

Brad was not there to accept his award since he is already back in the USA where he prepares to start shooting his new movie Burn after reading with the Coen Brothers.

After winning one of the most important awards in the Film Industry we should ask the question: Will Hollywood finally appreciate his talent too?
