I did her hair for the first time today and talking to this woman was amazing. Her late husband was a POW in World war 2. He saw first hand what they did to the Jewish people. She said he never much liked to talk about it as there were people who wanted him to write a book after he returned home. She said he wouldn't. Not something he wanted to remember. He also received a silver star who she is passing onto her grandson. *touching my heart* I got tears in my eyes when she told me that. She said he was so very close to his grandchildren. She was engaged to him when he went into the war. And they got news that he was killed or presumed dead. But, he had an angel and one day a Catholic priest came to the camp where he was being held, he blessed him and gave him a special cross, which she was wearing. He took his name and contacted his family that he was alive and being held prisoner of war. When he was finally set free, they married and were married for 60 years before his death. She said he always had health problems after returning home from war, but embraced the blessings in life. Her story touched me so deeply, i had to share it. i am going to drop her a note tomorrow and tell her how inspired i was meeting her and hearing her story. it was amazing.

More impressive yet, she has a daughter who works aside "Doctors without Borders" She has traveled the world assitanting in surgery's. She said in one country they repaired 28 clef palets in one days work. Made me think of Brad and how he donated to that charity and it made me so very proud of him. It sounds like this organazation is major progress to helping those in need.

So very inspiring. I thank god for sending her my way. I needed it!!
