I remember shopping with my nephew for a ring for his girlfriend. We picked one out and he purchased it and then he asks me, "What if she says no?" I had to laugh and ask him surely he had talked to her about it and had a feel for how she would respond.She said "yes" so all is good. lol

So you are going to make it really small. There is nothing wrong with that and sometimes it makes it easier to plan.I take it your parents aren't going to help you at all. Will you have a Jewish ceremony?

I remember shopping for my dress, that was so fun. I took my dad with me too. I remember his face perfectly when I came out with the one I wore at my wedding. His eyes lit up and I said, this is the one, that was the responce I was looking for.Great memories of time with my parents.My mom planned my wedding. I didn't much care about all the proper details and it was her thing. The only thing I wanted was my dad (who has an amazing singing voice) to sing at my wedding but my mom said it wasn't proper for the father of the bride to do so.It wasn't fair, he sang at everyone else wedding, cousins and such. I wanted him to sing at mine too. I think she said no because it would of been hard for him to get through it without tears. I was his baby girl.Course they paid for the whole thing too so I let my mom do what she wanted.:-)
