Hey buddy,

Yes, i had an inkling for exactly 2 seconds but then put it out of my mind completely so on the whole, it was still a total shock :)

My parents will help a little, not like they won't help at all, of course not. But unfortunately, in this economy, they def cant afford to completely foot the bill. Between his family and my family, hopefully we'll get the money for more than half of it but either way, i am anticipating taking out somewhat of a loan since i also want a really nice honeymoon :) Whatever, i have perfect credit so i dont know why people think taking out a loan is such a big deal. When people take out a loan to buy a home, nobody bats an eye but for anything else it seems unthinkable. We won't be buying a house anytime soon (to be honest, that has never been a goal of mine in life at all, i'm such a city girl that i think a cozy 2 bedroom apt is perfect (we have a cute little 1-bedroom now but will move when we decide to look into expanding the fam hehe), as far as i'm concerned, i totally dont feel the need to own a house to be complete LOL) So either way, it's fine, i know the type of wedding i want and that's exactly what i'll have :) I'm like your mom in that sense, i do care about the details. Perhaps that's a bad thing and i will drive myself crazy with this but we'll have to wait and see.
No, it won't be a Jewish wedding, my boy's family is Catholic but we're both about equally agnostic (which isn't the same as "atheist") so no need for any religious connotations at our wedding, it will be a civil ceremony :)

As for dress, dont know if i will take my parents shopping with me but i already saw one online that i absolutely loved, totally the first one i saw, now i'm trying to pace myself and all but mark my words, i have a feeling it will be the one i end up going with. I showed a pic of it to my mom and aunt and they both liked it too, it's very elegant. I still have about 18 months so i'm not going to go too crazy with even going to the store to try it on right now or anything yet, i just saved the image of it... But when you know, you know. Like you said :)

hugs,
Myst
