Ok, buddy, i will not argue about Sarah Palin anymore, i have not seen her speak live and you have (although, i got to say, even if both Hillary Clinton and the Queen of England were about to speak, i would not stand in line for 3 hours just to hear them, i mean you must more than just find her likeable to do something like that, you're a full blown die hard fan, a Palin-ite! LOL)
Seriously though, i am sure she's a great speaker, she has to be, to be charismatic enough to win over a not-so-small portion of this country. And in all honesty, you're probably right on the way that media portrayed her. Maybe it hasn't always been fair, and yes, they did do similar things to Hillary Clinton, although in her case it was not her intelligence but her abrasiveness, i guess...i dont know what it is with women in politics, it's so true, they get crucified no matter what they do! It really is unfortunate)
But by the same token, i do have to say that some of those things did come out of Palin's own mouth, like the seeing Russia from her house thing, this wasn't just something Tina Fey said on SNL, i heard it with my own ears and i don't think media goes as far as to dub over what people say and make them say something else. So you can only paint someone in negative light so much, i think there were plenty of faux pas on her part and a few "duh" moments that kind of made her not look all that great. But as i said, i was behind her 100% in the beginning, because i do respect it when a woman has the ability to overcome all the adversities of being in politics. And i really do feel bad about how they went after their family but she did add fuel to it herself on more than one occasion by dragging her family onstage with her and talking about them incessantly. It's like Brad and jolie, if they invite the media in, then they can't really be upset for the way they get scrutinized. Very similar thing here, in my humble opinion.
Bottom line is- i would love to see a woman in politics one day that is just a little less flawed than this one but perhaps that's my own pipe dream that might never come true, we'll have to wait and see...
