Brad Pitt: soulmate, sex, and gays
It's my favourite Brad Pitt attribute, aside from the way he wears his pants. Brad supports the gays. Brad was one of the first big names to oppose Prop 8 and donated $100,000 to the efforts to fight it. And in a new interview for Parade Magazine, a softer, more open Brad once again comments on gay marriage:
"Would it bother me if a child of mine turns out to be gay? No, not one bit. Listen, I want my kids to live the lives they want to live. I want them to be fulfilled. I hope I teach my kids to be who they really are. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I've had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment."
And that's the question for the MiniVan as they watch reruns of a watered down Sex & the City on TBS, oh Stanford is so cute! Oh it would be so cute to have a gay friend! Gays are great!
But would you be ok if a child of yours is gay?
I love that Pitt was so specific on that particular point. It's MORE than tolerance.
In interviews, Brad Pitt is normally cagey, less expressive, unwilling to get sentimental, reluctant to get into detail, particularly about Angelina Jolie.
With Parade, and because Inglourious Basterds needs his push, Brad is much more forthcoming, proclaiming his love for the mother of his children, in sharp contrast to the stories reported week after week in Star, Life & Style, and In Touch.
"I have love in my life, a soul mate--absolutely. Do you know how you tell real love? It's when someone else's interest trumps your own. I like to put it that way: trumps your own. Love of somebody else--of family, of your kids--becomes the most important, most worthwhile thing in your life. It's what you foster and protect. You have to recognize real love when it's there and know that in going after it there is always risk. To live with love, you have to chance losing it. That's also true when you decide to have kids. It's the risk you take for love.
Angie's mom died a couple of years ago of cancer. I haven't had to face a lot of death. I'm untried in that way, and I don't know how I will deal with it. My real fear at this point is the safety and health of Angie and the kids. The fear of losing them is what keeps me up at night."
He also talks about architecture, working on his house, and about the grotto behind the waterfall in his pool.

The media is on fire with Brad's new interview. On Showbiz Tonight last night they were going crazy with Brad proclaiming that Angie is his soulmate and they have sex under the waterfall at his home in LA. The iname of it for the hormonal media is exploding with sex drive. It is all they can take to image these two banging it in the waterfall. *eyeroll* To me is is just gross because I find Jolie just so gross. To imagine her with any and all of her sex partners, (especially that gross girl named Jenny) makes me want to barf.Yuck!Yuck!Yuck! Digusting!! I don't think there is anything sexy about her at all, but, that is from my own point of view.
Anyway, of course the media is praising him for his comments on gay marriage. They like to act like he speaks for the majority but I have to say, "Only in Hollywood" They say he doesn't care if it hurts his popularity and that may be true but I think he is a FOOL to go to such a great extent to speak out about it.
Anyway, the media is thrilled that Brad gave them so much smut to focus in on in his latest interview. It is everywhere and the Brangeloonies are flying high that their model couple are set in stone with Brad's words. Yippee!!*eyeroll* heeheehee
