Brad was on The Today show this morning talking about New Orleans. He was being interviewed by the same gal that touched his face in the last interview. Crap, i can't even remember her name. Anyway, she asked him about running for Mayor of New Orleans. Isn't Brad a little too "big" for something like that? Anyway, he said he would never be elected because he would lobby for no religion, legalizing weed and gay marriage.

The legalizing weed idea is the one I agree with. That would stimulate a huge tax revenue.

But, no religion?? Seriously, hearing him say that just didn't sit right with me. I have thought about it and i could not and would not even want to imagine it. No "guidelines" to follow in life. Nothing to base morality on. I don't think so. I think there are far too many in the world now that live without and struggle a great deal because they have no love or respect for their neighbor. I feel no religion would intensify that terribly and the only thing that would be a positive about it is, people couldn't start wars and blame it on religion. Wars don't start because of religion, wars start because of greed.

Mystie, I know you agree with Brad on this. Honestly, please explain your point of view about it to me. I haven't found ONE person who agrees with that as it was the discussion at the salon today.I would really like to try and understand how you and Brad really believe that would make this world a better place.
