I saw it too, buddy, I have to admit at first i was really amazed by how horrible the reviews were and in some parts, i do feel they were too harsh. The movie is not quite as bad as those reviews make it sound. But they are right to rip into it on account of inconsistency, the plot just sort of bopping along to the beat of its own drum. They make and break rules as they see fit. I didnt read the book but heard it was great so clearly whoever adaprted the screen play from the book F---ed up big time. But the chemistry between Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams is great and i thought their performances were what kept the movie from being a complete laughable disaster. If they weren't as good of actors as they are, this could've been a total piece of garbage but luckily, they made it into a somewhat watchable movie. also the sentimentality of it was really sweet, although i have to admit even though a few reviews warned about crying your eyes out at the end, i did not cry even half as hard as i did when i watched CCofBB (both times!!) I did tear up and thought on the whole it was a sweet little love story but i definitely had issues with the plot.

So that's my 2 cents. What did you think? And please dont let Brad being the producer affect your judgement, i know you're a little sour on him at the moment hehe

Myst
