It was interesting to me how far back they set the cast of Slumdog Millionaire. The Hollywood elite were the ones who had the front seats. i think JA and Layer were seated closer to the stage than the people from Slumdog Millionaire. I noticed that right away.
I didn't see where Health Ledgers family was seated. How far back were their seats? David Fincher was a few rows back as well.
I have never made a secret of the dark shadow Jolie over flows onto Brad. He looks arrogant with her and I don't find it attractive on him at all. You speak of his great performance in Ben Button and I think he has done much more commanding roles that were over looked. Funny, I would get so pissed when they always over looked Brad's craft, now that they are acknowledging it, I could careless. It all looks too constructed to me, With dark "Hollywood" girl on his arm. Maybe that is what it takes to win an award in hollywood, too bad, doesn't seem so with all the others.
Has it ever happened when someone doesn't show up at the Oscars that has been nomintated for an award? Besides health Ledger who has a good excuse being "dead" and all. I wonder if one of their children would have been sick and they had to stay home and not attend the show, if that would be a valid excuse NOT to attend. My bet is they place this award so high, they wouldn't have missed being there for anything. Hopefully his light hearted spirit about not winning comes with knowing they have each other to spend the rest of their lives together raising their children.
Hopefully now that they have been honored by their peers in such a manner, they can lay off the "Hollywood Couple" and settle somewhere to raise those children together. Hopefully their need for acknowledgement in their craft was fulfilled at the Oscars and they can get focused on the biggest and most important job in their life, the children.
Maybe Brad could just relax now and get back to the "edgy" entertainment he does best.
