Someone who posts at another site I go to had this to say. You seem to follow the behind the scene more than me. Like, when I am watching a movie, the last person I think about is the director. I usually haven't read the book it is taken from, so I can't comment on that either. What is your take on these comments?

I just watched the today show and they did a review by that Gene whoever guy, with the weird mustache, and I have to say I'm disappointed without even having seen the movie. I don't know why Brad can't do a movie from literature without slaughtering the original work of art. Troy was a "fine" movie, but had no real basis in The Iliad . And they have rewrote Curious Case of Benjamin Button . They completely changed the plot put in new characters. Just slaughtered it. They have misused Fitzgerald's name on the movie . Why not just put your own title on a movie instead of attaching it to an already famous work that you have sliced to shreds? They can do it because the work is public domain but this story has almost no similarity to the story. It is like AJ saying Beowulf "is her favorite poem" when it is obvious by everything she said in interviews she hadn't read it, (the only other option being she read it, but was to stupid to understand it-so I decided to be nice and say she lied )

Here is a link to a copy of the Jazz age, which this short story is included. It is a free read on computer, you can bookmark it or save it to your hard/flash drive. It takes about 30-45 minutes to read and is a beautiful story.

The movie may be a good movie. But it isn't Fitzgerald, and it won't have the complete beauty of his work. It will always to flawed because it is an impostor

IMO they would have been much better off, making their own work of art
