Mystie, remember Madison, the girl we brought with us to NY. She was here last night and says hello. They are all grown up now. We were talking about our trip to NY, of course your name came up. The girls had so much fun with you, honestly, they were disappointed we didn't do more sight seeing when we were there, but, i didn't feel that was the lesson in that trip. I felt seeing the culture was more important and we sure did see alot of difference to where we live.

I remember walking in the village and two men were walking down the street holding hands. Probably doesn't seem like a big deal to you, but it was for them because it isn't something they see at all around these parts at all.
The homeless people living in central park, and the rolls of money just across the street at the hotel we stayed at. The powerful sound of the organ at St. Patrick's Cathedral. A sound so powerful it could wake the dead. The difference in the food. The man that asked for their bags before they could enter the store to shop. All a part of the lesson for them as young teens. I felt that was more important than exploring ground zero or the Statue of Liberty. We would of needed more time to explore all of that. Hopefully one day I can bring them back there and we can do all those things, but, I am sure, they will find a way to see it in their own. Hopefully they visit NY again and they will always remember the lessons from their first trip as young adults. It is cool that you are a part of that for them. They don't call you Mystie, they remember you by your real name.

It would be fun for the two of them to make that trip together. This time with their boyfriends. (they are both in serious relationships now) It would be fun for all of you to hook up again. They are your age when you met them the first time and I think you would be very impressed with the way they turned out as young women. *wink*

Cute story about the couple in the bar. Maybe they were drunk. Seems liquor seems to make people more sexual with one another in public. But, i get to watch young love everytime my daughter is with her guy although, I am not cool with them hanging all over one another in front of me or her father. Actually, he is more sensitive to it then I am, but I am so very in touch with his feelings and am more vocal about it then he is. Go figure!! heehee They are apart a lot since he is at OSU, but still there is a time and place even when she is in the comfort of her own home and it isn't in front of us. *wink* He is here now since he turned 21 last week. They had a big party for him Saturday night and he leaves for school today. They were off for Martin Luther King's birthday so she got an extra day with him although he went ice fishing yesterday. I told his grandma after his drinking on Saturday night, i hope he doesn't fall out of the boat, and she just laughed. I guess they don't use a boat when they are ice fishing. Oh well, I think they are crazy to site outside on cold ice fishing anyway. Haven't they ever heard of buying fish in a super market?? LOL
