Yes, AJ received the nomination and Brad didn't. But are you really surprised? It was clear, even with Brad winning the Best Actor award in Venice, that they would overlook him. They do not care about him. So we don't have to talk about the Oscars if they already ignore him at the Golden Globes. But I think it has become ridiculous now when they say that he will surely get the nomination for Fight Club, Troy, Babel and now Jesse James, and when the nominations come out he is forgotten again.

When I look at the list I see they nominate the same people over and over again, that is so boring.

But interesting that they nominated Casey Affleck for Best Supporting Actor, just like I predicted. When Brad was a young actor he was not liked by the American juries, now that he has become older he gets overshadowed by younger actors. Actors that are of the age when he became famous and was overlooked. Do you think it is frustrating for Brad that he is so unpopular and that they do not appreciate his efforts? Probably.

But since Brad's career has reached its end it maybe is not so important anymore.
Brad should not be sad, he may be not popular for Americans, but he is in Europe. He may have won nothing in the USA, but he received awards here in Europe. So Europeans probably see something that Americans don't see ;-) Let Europe have Brad, the USA can have their favourite part of Brangelina named Angelina Jolie ;-)
