Brad Pitt Needs a Hug (thanks to a blogger at Just Jared)
Brad Pitt is sad. Poor Brad. The hot humanitarian and insta-dad recently spoke with Parade Magazine about his occasionally gloomy side, the paparazzi and his charity work.
Me=()
On doing good stuff:
“Whoever said all men are born equal never left his own backyard,” Pitt asserts. “I see people everywhere without opportunity. I want to help level the playing field.”
(This baffles me the most. It tells me that Brad truly does NOT get it. When people say everyone is born equal, it refers to our heart and soul. The light in our eyes, the spirit we all have deep within us. It is about money and ones surroundings to him. We have our own plight in this life, obsticals to over come. I realize it is difficult to see it first hand, but to say those who haven't seen it with their own eyes, don't understand it. Pleazzz...He thinks he can change it by making them wealthy, or able to afford a chance. If he truly wants to make the playing field even, from his point of view, living in 60 million dollar mansions doesn't fit into that. Neither does spending 293 thousand dollars on a friggin table. I feel so very sad for him when I hear him say such things. He sounds like her, and that is a sad sad shame.)
On whether Angie is responsible for his humanitarian work:
“That’s idiotic!” he replies. “I do it because I’m a member of the human race. In Africa you see people on the street dying from AIDS, children left without parents. We’re all cells of one body, with the same emotions and desires for our families–for a little dignity and a chance for a better life. Let’s focus on that! I believe in the founding principles of America. I want to fight for that. I know most Americans feel the same way.”
(There,he says it, "a chance for a better life" and that is all about money. If he truly wants to change the situation there, he should take the focus off of money completely. Don't they see it makes the situation much worse? Everyone is born with the right to dignity and they won't find it in the almighty dollar. Exactly what is WRONG with this world And about her being responsible to getting him involved. He should clue his life partner in on how idiotic it is before he tells the public. She is the one saying she influenced him to go public with all his aid.)
On celebrity:
“I understand the tabloid machine,” Pitt told the magazine. “There’s money to be made off Angie and me, but it has gotten out-of-hand. There’s no decency, even when it comes to our kids.”
(money again)
“You start to see the fickleness of celebrity - that it isn’t rooted in something of real value,” he said. “There is this strange wanting by people to get next to you. It has nothing to do with you but with something they feel they are missing in themselves.”
( Oh please, "wanting to get next to you?" He shouldn't take himself so serious, this is what entertainment is meant to be. To stimulate fantasy. He should feel honored people would be inspired by him to fill a void within themselves, no, instead, he disses them. Explain it to me?)
On feeling sad:
“I always felt a pervasive sadness,” he said. “I’m not sure I earned it, because it was always there. It existed in the place where I grew up - in my family, in people who have true sweetness and true goodness. Maybe it’s a congenital sadness that everyone has to some degree.”
(That's right Brad, everyone is born equal, everyone has a sadness to fill in the journey through life. Even those people you struggle so hard to save. How one chooses to fill that void is up to them. He has and adopts children, maybe others choose to find a close spot next to a celebrity. Kinda puts a different perspective on him dissing them for it. The public could diss him for using children to fill that void. Pretty judgemental of him to say others are wrong to use celebrity to fill that void.)
I believe everyone has their own plight in life and if you can find something that fills you within, lights a fire within yourself, we need to build off of that, to nurture it and protect it at all costs, especially within children. Maybe he should try that approach with all those helpless people he hopes to save. From the pictures I have seen of the suffering children, they all have an amazing light in their eyes. None of that has anything to do with money and i think that is why these celebrities don't help as much as they believe they do. They want to light that flame with money, and that has nothing to do with it in my opinion.
