personally it makes no sense to pay the $300 for lic fees and eye exams and blood work to just do a exhibiton fight.

when you can fight in VA for $25 a year and you can fight at 16 you just have to fight someone who is not more then 2 years older then you.

you know to be honest sense my team has been going to va to fight. there are many less fighters backing out at the last minute, I just cost way too much for fighters to fight in NC. they went up on thier fees this year.

but back to the fighting under 18, going to va is the way to go.

I agree its better for guys on the bank account as amatuers, but I am not the biggest fan of full MMA rules in amatuer fights, and the GCA (if they are still the guys sanctioning most of the events) have some wide open rules for ammys.

Do the younger guys have to use the full unified rules (of course with 3 min rounds instead of 5)?

But even so I do agree, Va is alot more hassle free and events tend to come off better, NC is a bust to fight as an amatuer, but NC is making money.......so.....
