I just called and they said the instructor is Chris, but they had no last name. Is it you Chris Bright?

It is odd that there are so many fitness places trying to bring in a MMA crowd. I loved fighting when I did it. I still consider fighting again. I love to train fighters and I love when they do well in competition. BUT the simple fact is I do not market or promote my gym based on fighting MMA.

IT seems to me you draw in alot of doofs who are more worried about rushing to fight and not enough people who want to legitimately learn grappling and kickboxing (or boxing or whatever your flavor for slugging it out) in and of themselves for their own worth.

Dont get me wrong, people who are legitimately driven and hard working who want to fight I love to work with. I have ZERO interest in trying to talk someone into fighting though, and several of these places seem to try to sell turning everyone into a fighter. IME the only way to foster that illusion is to not really put people through the paces. Which can be detrimental to the people fighting and makes no sense in the first place.

Does that gym have a website?
