Ever watch Pride of UFC?I think that stat would be even higher than 95%.

So, the stat is for MMA competition, not self defense/protection?

Oh, and considering I've had Bas at my school 4 times, Randy once, and Frank will be here next year, yes, I've seen a few. ;-)

Have you ever seen Cro-cop, Silva, Lidell, et al? I'd say 100% of fights start standing.

BTW, my point was, is this some arbitrary number, or is there an actual source for it, because I'd like to check it out if so.
