Hi m8,
I've been looking into the same things, here are my points so far:

The 1998 Data Protection Act Section 7c talks about how to sak for you info. But what I am trying to find is the secion will stop the police from passing on my information untill I have seen it and agree with it.

1998 Hunam rights Act ammended to include Europe and the treatment of us Euro-people.

There must be a Consumer rights act that will also help, but not yet found it.

also and this is a BIG also the laws of Germany, France etc apply.

Once I have come up with the right sections I will then post what they are and what to say.

I also feel that they don't have a right to the deposits. eg

If you pay an Solicitor a deposit when purchasing a house, he than passes it on and then goes out of business, the liquidator does not take ownership of the property, as you stated, “they act as the buyers agent” that is all they are the middlemen. The only part of the money they should get is the AutoModena fee……
