It was kind of amazing, the way that she seemed to lighten up as soon as he was around. When she was by herself she tended to let things get her down, she thought to much, but when he was there and holding her and touching her, she couldn't help but feel better about everything. When he was kissing her it was like she could see a bright future just thanks to his touch. "Hey baby..." She murmured, turning around to lift her lips and kiss him briefly before she pulled back and grinned as she looked over his shoulder and gazed at the dogs who were greeting each other. "What made us think three dogs would be a good idea?" She questioned with a laugh, looking at the doberman lestat - one of the Marita's pups - which had been hers and was the oldest, being almost seven years old because she had got it when Niko had left on the JAG assignment. Then there was the two danes, Xander and Colt, that they had picked out together. Jewel had Ayden for another couple of hours and Sam was with her daddy though she was supposed to go over to the house the next day, 'cept she had talked to Niko about that yet and she really needed to. She wasn't sure how being at her old home would make her feel but she was excited to see her animals at least. She reached up to press another kiss to his cheek, brushing her hand over his head -- he had buzzed his hair again and she loved it -- before she dropped her hand down to the paintbrush that was resting in the can of paint. "How was your day, love? Do you like the porch so far?" She may not say 'I love you' very often but she had said and did mean it, she just felt kind of awkward saying the words still since it had been so long since she had muttered him - she always used the petname love though, as if to reaffirm the fact without saying the phrase.
